The Symposium will be held in Prato, Italy from Friday, September 10 to Sunday, September 12, 2010, and will be organized under the auspices of the European Peptide Society and the Australian Peptide Association in collaboration with PeptLab, University of Florence and Monash University.
The aim of this symposium is to showcase the different fields of application of biomolecules for diagnostics and therapeutics, in which scientists from both industry and academia and who are involved in the application of biomolecular science in various fields can participate.
European and Australian scientists have a long tradition of collaboration and this sympoisuim seeks to build on the many links between Australian and European peptide scientists. The symposium brings together scientists interested in the design and development of biomoelcues for diagnostics and therapeutics with a particular focus on peptides.
The Monash Prato Centre is an excellent venue to foster these interactions. It is ideally situated close to several of Europe’s most significant cities and esteemed institutions and functions as an interface between Europe and Asia for academics and political and business leaders from both regions.
The programme will include a number of sessions with specific themes aimed at exploring new avenues for the development of biomolecule-based diagnostics and therapeutics.
A special invitation is extended to young scientists and researchers, whom we encourage to take this opportunity to contribute to this rapidly emerging field of peptide and protein science.
