European Peptide Society

The eleventh Naples Workshop on Bioactive Peptides was held in Napoli, Italyat the Centro Congressi d’Ateneo of the Universityof Napoli “Federico II” on 24-27 May 2008.

The workshop had a fantastic attendance of 197 peptide scientists, from 21 different countries from all over the world. The theme of the workshop was “New frontiers in the search of bioactive molecules: from peptides to drugs”.

The workshop opened with a very rich session - the “Murray Goodman Young Investigator’s Session” - in which eleven short presentations were given by young scientists; an award was given for the best presentation.

The remainder of the programme included 19 invited lectures, 11 short oral presentations and 91 poster presentations, covering a wide variety of relevant topics.
