European Peptide Society

Last September in Helsinki the Executive Committee of the EPS decided, in collaboration with John Wiley & Sons Ltd., to renovate the webpage of the Society. The EPS Secretary Professor Alex Eberle in collaboration with Martin Rothlisberger, Wiley’s Executive Commissioning Editor, have undertaken the task to re-engineer the website, adding new characteristics and functionality.

The redesigned website, is active under the same address (www.eurpepsoc.com), and it will be constantly improved and updated. Among others, the major task is to merge EPS membership identities with the login procedure of the site’s visitors. The EPS Secretary in collaboration with National Representatives of EPS will provide an updated EPS membership list to be used as an access database for all EPS members to the site’s private content.

The new webmaster, Dr.George Pairas, travelled to Chichester last June to be trained on the management system by Dr. James Weeks (Wiley’s Website Manager) and discuss with Martin Rothlisberger the possibilities to materialize the Society’s decisions on the website future content and structure. All future changes approved by the Executive Committee, will be announced through the website and the newsletter.

This website aims to provide to the EPS community a means to communicate and exchange ideas and knowledge, to share social events and activities, being at the same time the meeting point for all peptide scientists, young researchers and chemical, pharmaceutical and related industrial manufacturers.
