This award was established by Bachem Inc. USA in 1984. The award is presented "to the scientist who has in the opinion of the Council of the Society made the most outstanding contribution to the chemistry, biochemistry, or biology of peptides in the five years preceding the date of selection". The 2010 awardee is Helma Wennemers - congratulations!

This award is presented during the biennial “Hellenic Forum on Bioactive Peptides" Symposium to a scientist who has made a significant contribution to Peptide Chemistry in the five years preceding the date of selection. The candidates must be members of the EPS, and there is no restriction as to their age or their present position. The 2010 awardee is Prof. Ernest Giralt - congratulations!
