The awardees receive a cheque for € 2000 and are announced in the Journal of Peptide Science and in the EPS newsletter.
Every research article published in Journal of Peptide Science in 2010 and 2011 will be on the shortlist for the 2012 Award. The editors will choose the winner based on the number of citations, the number of downloads and on other editorial criteria.
The award is applicable to full papers published within the Journal of Peptide Science. Once your submitted article has been accepted, it will participate automatically in the competition. Each article will stay in the competition for two years and, therefore, has two chances to win the award.

At the end of August each year, a shortlist of 10 articles will be prepared, based on the highest number of citations and downloads from all full papers published in the two previous calendar years. Each member of the Editorial Board will then choose from this shortlist their three preferred publications and the full paper with the highest number of nominations will win the award.
One article can only win the award once. The award will be sent to the corresponding author. Publications from the research groups of the Editorial Board will be excluded from the award. The decision of the Board is final and there will be no correspondence entered into about the award. The awardee will be informed directly, and the award will be announced in Journal of Peptide Science, on this website, and also through other media, if appropriate.
