The European Peptide Society (EPS) invites applications from PhD students for

EPS Mobility Fellowships

 

Mobility and interdisciplinarity nowadays are important assets in research careers. The European Peptide Society provides fellowships for PhD students and post doc who want to visit another laboratory of an EPS member to acquire new methodology or perform experiments that are not possible at the home institution.

Eligibility At the time of the application, the applicant must be a member of the EPS, affiliated to a higher education or research institute from an EPS constituent country (as defined by the Society’s Statutes), and whose supervisor/lab head has been a member of the EPS for at least 12 months. The host must be a higher education institution or research institute from anywhere in the world, provided the head of/supervisor of the host research group has been a member of the EPS for at least 12 months.

Conditions A fellowship of up to 5000 € in total may be granted upon application. The fellowship may will be divided in two parts: living cost (1000 € per month or proportional value per diem) and travel cost (economy class, receipts need to be provided). The fellowship may be combined with funding from other sources e.g. to extend the duration of the stay. In this case the amount of funding applied for or obtained from the other sources need to be specified. Bench fees or tuition fees cannot be covered. 50% of the fellowship will be paid in advance, 50% will be paid after the final report (about 2 pages, the scientific content must be approved by both supervisors) and pictures (1-3, with image right of publicity) taken in a professional context has been received.
