The European Peptide Society is a non-profit association established for the public benefit to promote in Europe and in neighbouring countries the advancement of education and scientific study of the chemistry, biochemistry, biology and pharmacology of peptides.
The EPS publishes, in co-operation with John Wiley & Sons, the Journal of Peptide Science and the EPS Newsletter.
The EPS also organizes the bi-annual European Peptide Symposium, sponsors local and specialised meetings and workshops, and supports and promotes young scientists with travel grants and dedicated seminars.
Journal of Peptide Science has just published on EarlyView an exciting review on silk proteins, the toughest know biomaterial. Access to this article has been made free to view without a subscription for EPS members for a limited time period.
A highlight in the April issue of the Journal of Peptide Science is this article by Adam T. Ślósarczyk and Lars Baltzer from Uppsala University, Sweden. Access to this article has been made free to view without a subscription for EPS members for a limited time period.
In the March issue of the Journal of Peptide Science, Paul F. Alewood and co-workers take critical look at COMU as a coupling reagent for in situ neutralization Boc solid phase peptide synthesis. Access to this article has been made free to view without a subscription for EPS members for a limited time period.
Severn Biotech is an independent British manufacturer. Severn manufactures a wealth of different laboratory materials. The present catalogue now lists over 400 chemical products which are highlighted in different categories.
The Indian Peptide Society is a non-profit association, established to promote in India the advancement of education and research, in particular the scientific study of the Chemistry, Biochemistry and Biology of Peptides.
The International Regulatory Peptide Society promotes scientific meetings and exchanges devoted to all aspects of basic and clinical research on regulatory peptides and related topics thus keeping up the tradition of the International Symposia on Gut Hormones and Regulatory Peptides.

This award honours the best paper published in Journal of Peptide Science. The winner is chosen every year from all research articles published in Journal of Peptide Science in the two previous years. Who are the winners of the 2011 award and how could you be the winner next year?
This award was established by Bachem Inc. USA in 1984. The award is presented "to the scientist who has in the opinion of the Council of the Society made the most outstanding contribution to the chemistry, biochemistry, or biology of peptides in the five years preceding the date of selection". The 2010 awardee is Helma Wennemers - congratulations!
This award is presented "in commemoration of Josef Rudinger's role in the foundation of the European Peptide Symposia and of diverse contributions he made to peptide chemistry". The 2010 awardee is Stephen B. H. Kent - congratulations!
This award is presented during the biennial “Hellenic Forum on Bioactive Peptides" Symposium to a scientist who has made a significant contribution to Peptide Chemistry in the five years preceding the date of selection. The candidates must be members of the EPS, and there is no restriction as to their age or their present position. The 2010 awardee is Prof. Ernest Giralt - congratulations!
