Dear European Peptide Society Members,
As you may be aware, the 10th International Peptide Symposium (10th IPS), in conjunction with the 55th Japanese Peptide Symposium (55th JPS), will be held this coming December 3 to 7 in Kyoto, Japan. (https://www.aeplan.co.jp/10thips/)
Scheduled talks include Plenary Lectures to be given by Professor Dale Boger (The Scripps Institute) and Professor William DeGrado (University of California, San Francisco), and presentations by invited speakers working on different fields in peptide science all over the world. Also, we are accepting applications for Oral (including those by Young Investigators) and Poster Presentations (https://www.aeplan.co.jp/10thips/abstract.html)
The deadline for Oral Presentations applications (including Young Investigators Oral Presentation) is on July 31 at 2 pm Japan Standard Time (JST), while Poster Presentation application deadline will be on September 5 at 2 pm JST.
Awards will be presented for the excellent presentations (both oral and poster) by Young Scientists and Students. (https://www.aeplan.co.jp/10thips/yipa.html) And as support, we are also preparing travel expense bursaries for selected postdoctoral researchers/students. (https://www.aeplan.co.jp/10thips/travel.html)
In addition, the following related meetings are also being arranged before and after the symposium:
4th International Conference on Circular Proteins and Peptides (November 28 – 30, Kawasaki) https://www.iccpp2018.com
International Mini-Symposium on Peptide-Membrane Interaction and Intracellular Delivery (December 8, Kyoto)
Institute for Protein Research Seminar – Frontiers in Peptide Science 2018 – (December 8, Osaka)
International Forum on Peptides in Drug Discovery (December 10, Tokyo)
Details of these meetings will be linked on our Symposium HP shortly.
Kyoto is among the most beautiful and culturally-rich cities in the world. We are happy to host the 10th IPS during early December when we can still expect the height of autumn, while feeling the incoming of winter. This time offers the best chance to indulge in the beauty of the city and to exchange current approaches and discoveries in peptide science while renewing old friendships and establishing new ones. We encourage everyone to attend the 10th IPS and to share your accomplishments with friends and colleagues from all over the world.
