Postdoctoral Researcher Position available on Solid-Phase Peptide Synthesis and the development of Multifunctional Hydrogels
The project and the team
We are looking for a highly motivated and creative postdoctoral researcher to work in the field of peptide chemistry and investigate click-chemistry methodologies to develop self-assembling hydrogels with multifunctional biological potential.
The ultimate goal is to establish chemoselective methodologies to investigate bottom-up self-assembling methods to produce peptidic hydrogels combining cell adhesive, osteogenic and antibacterial biomaterials for tissue engineering.
If selected, you will work in a highly interdisciplinary environment, within the Biomaterials, Biomechanics and Tissue Engineering (BBT) group (https://biomaterials.upc.edu/en), in an expanding research line under the supervision of Dr. Carles Mas-Moruno.
This position is part of the Project “Bioactive and multifunctional peptide-based hydrogels obtained by bottom-up self-assembly for advanced biomedical applications (SmartGel)” funded by the Spanish Research State Agency (AEI).
Your profile
- Strong motivation and capacity to work in a team
- PhD in chemistry or related
